A second passport is a second nationality
A passport is an identity and travel document that follows nationality. You do not obtain a genuine second passport without a second citizenship (or a tightly defined status such as an overseas-citizen document, which is not citizenship). Anyone offering a passport without a state grant is not describing a lawful route.

Four legal families
Citizenship by descent. A state confirms or registers nationality you already hold through an unbroken statutory line — or, in some systems, restores it. Fees are administrative. The hard part is evidence. Start at citizenship by descent. pass2port does not check whether your line holds.
Ordinary naturalization. Residence plus time, language, and good-character tests. It is not an investment product. pass2port does not sell naturalization kits.
Citizenship by investment (CBI). A statutory programme in which a qualifying contribution or investment is a condition of citizenship, with government due diligence. Eastern Caribbean programmes share a published regional floor of US$200,000; individual donation and real-estate floors, fees, and diligence charges still differ. Residency by investment (RBI). A Golden Visa or similar permit is residence, not a passport. Some states later allow naturalization; some do not. The UAE Golden Visa is residence.
Check the facts that close doors first
Before comparing contribution floors, establish whether you can keep your current nationality (dual citizenship), whether a descent line is even plausible, and whether a programme is still open. Closed routes still appear in search ads.

Can I buy a second passport?
No private party sells a genuine passport. Citizenship-by-investment programmes are statutory: a qualifying contribution or investment is one condition of nationality, alongside due diligence that the state runs. pass2port lists programmes; it does not process applications or issue documents.
What is the fastest legal way to a second passport?
There is no universal fastest route. Timeline fields in pass2port are programme-specific and dated. Descent can take months to years of archives. Ordinary naturalization is measured in years of residence. Caribbean CBI units publish their own processing windows — confirm on the unit site, not on a marketing clock.
Is a Golden Visa a second passport?

Will I lose my current nationality?
